Dr. Otto, Associate Dental Director and Dental Assistant, Jennifer Bretzel, visited a local elementary school to teach children about the importance of oral health in a fun and engaging way. Using interactive storybooks, they explained the basics of brushing, flossing, cavity prevention, and more. Hands-on exercises allowed students to practice proper brushing techniques on model teeth, while games reinforced key dental hygiene words and habits in an exciting and memorable way. The students also learned about the different roles within the dental team, including the dentist, dental assistant, and hygienist, and how each plays a part in keeping their smiles healthy.
Through this educational visit, the students not only gained valuable dental knowledge but also learned how simple daily habits and the support of a dental team can help them maintain a healthy, confident smile.
