Dr. Farrell

Jessica Ann Farrell, MD | Behavioral Health

Originally from Kentucky, Dr. Jessica Farrell joined Family Health La Clinica in November of 2023. She received her Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Kentucky and has been practicing medicine for four years under clinical supervision as part of her recently completed psychiatry residency training at Virginia Tech Carilion Clinic School of Medicine. The best parts of her profession are working with individuals to accomplish goals that lead to a better life, learning from her patients and having the opportunity to share some of her knowledge with them.

Growing up in a rural community, she understands the importance of a community health center like FHLC and is committed to serving underserved communities. “Being a physician, particularly a psychiatrist, helps fulfill my goal of working directly with people to provide help and treatment,” says Dr. Farrell. She is privileged to have such an opportunity to learn so much from the people she works with and is honored to watch them overcome obstacles and accomplish amazing things.

Dr. Farrell is continuously involved in continuing education as this allows her to keep her clinical practice up to date with advancing treatment knowledge. She is a proud member of the Neuroscience Education Institute as well as the Wisconsin Psychiatric Association.

When not in the office seeing patients, Dr. Farrell spends her free time with family, which often includes brunch, zoo visits and walks with her husband and toddler. She also loves spending time cooking/baking new dishes and enjoys reading. Before moving to Wisconsin, she was an active member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and was part of an advisory board for mental health at a local free clinic in Virginia. She hopes to become involved in similar ways in her new community.
